How To Reply is a browser extension that helps you craft thoughtful responses to customer messages and reviews. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
Data We Collect
- Device ID: A randomly generated identifier stored locally in your browser. This is used to track your usage limits and improvement todos. It is not linked to your personal identity.
- Message and Review Text: When you use the extension to generate a response, the text you're responding to is sent to our servers for processing. This is necessary to generate a helpful reply.
- Improvement Todos: If you save actionable feedback as a todo item, the todo text and source message are stored so you can track improvements across sessions.
How We Use Your Data
- To generate AI-powered response suggestions
- To track usage against your plan limits
- To store your improvement todos
- To improve our service (aggregated, anonymized analytics)
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely on servers provided by Supabase (hosted on AWS). Message text sent for response generation is logged for up to 30 days for debugging purposes, then automatically deleted.
Third-Party Services
- Anthropic: We use Claude, an AI model by Anthropic, to generate responses. Your message text is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
- Supabase: We use Supabase for data storage and serverless functions. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
Data You Control
- You can delete individual todos at any time within the extension
- Uninstalling the extension removes your local device ID
- To request deletion of all your data, contact us with your device ID
